‘Link House’ (45 min Loop) is set in a building that used to connect the electricity of Britain and France. It is an industrial space, but one that I often stay in, and store things that I do not need or have room for elsewhere. In a continuous slow pan around the room the video surveys all the objects in the room, while recounting their stories and what led them to be there. Each rotation of the camera adds another layer of information over the last, in a continuous process of embroidering the image with my own personal inventory.

By naming and identifying; retrieving from memory, experience and the image the details of the objects I hope  to make apparent this process of identification. As much as I explore the movements and history of the objects, I explore my own memory, and re-enact the complex relationships between identity and identification, self and object.
